Expert guidance through the
technology decisions
that matter most.

From someone who has spent years working inside these decisions, across companies of every size.

01

Stop guessing about what you actually need.

Most businesses end up with technology they were sold rather than technology that fits. Vendors have quotas. Resellers have preferred partners. Maycrest has neither. We assess your environment first and recommend from the full market so what you end up with is chosen for your situation, not ours.

02

You deserve someone who understands what they're recommending.

There's no shortage of consultants who can quote you a solution. There's a real shortage of consultants who can tell you why it's right for your environment, what the implementation will actually look like, and where the risks are. That's the gap Maycrest was built to fill.

03

Your technology is likely costing you more than it should.

Whether it's an outdated phone system slowing your team down, a network that can't keep up, or contracts you're paying for services you've outgrown — most businesses have at least one area where the technology stopped serving them. We find it.

The full stack of business technology, without the vendor bias.

Every engagement starts with understanding what you have before recommending what you need.

Not sure where your technology stands?

A Maycrest technology assessment gives you a clear, honest picture of your current environment: what's working, what's not, and what's worth addressing. No obligation and no pitch waiting at the end.

Maycrest works with businesses of every size, from growing companies to large enterprises. Every recommendation is based on what we find in your environment, not what's easiest to sell.

Business Communications

VoIP · UCaaS

When your phone system is unreliable, hard to manage, or just not built for how your team works today, it creates friction you feel every day. Missed calls, dropped transfers, systems that don't connect to anything else. These aren't minor annoyances, they're operational costs. Maycrest helps businesses move to modern cloud communications that are easier to manage, easier to scale, and built around how your team actually operates.

SD-WAN

Software-Defined WAN

SD-WAN replaces rigid, expensive legacy connections with intelligent routing that adapts to your traffic in real time. If you're running multiple locations and dealing with inconsistent performance, high circuit costs, or limited visibility into what's happening on your network, SD-WAN is worth a serious look. We've deployed it across a wide range of environments and know how to match the right platform to your architecture, without overbuilding for what you actually need.

Network Infrastructure

SASE · Connectivity

A slow or unreliable network affects everything: your team's productivity, your customers' experience, and your ability to run the cloud tools your business depends on. Whether your connectivity hasn't kept up with how your business has grown or you're managing sites with inconsistent performance, there's likely a better architecture available. We assess what you have and find it.

Cloud Contact Center

CCaaS

If your customer-facing team is working around the limitations of your current setup — limited visibility into call data, no flexibility for remote agents, no clean way to handle volume spikes — a cloud contact center can solve most of that. It's a crowded market with a lot of vendors making similar claims. We cut through the noise and match you with the platform that fits your team size, your workflow, and your budget.

Managed IT

Managed Services

When technology issues pull your team away from real work, it's a productivity problem as much as an IT problem. Whether you have no internal IT support or a small team that's stretched thin, having a managed service provider in your corner means problems get handled before they become outages and you stop being the person fielding IT complaints. We match you with the right provider for your size and complexity, and stay involved to make sure the relationship works.

Wireless WAN

LTE · 5G · Starlink

Connectivity problems are one of the most disruptive issues a business can have, and they're often more solvable than people realize. Whether a location can't get reliable wired service, you need a failover that actually holds up, or your current provider has stopped performing, there are more options available today than most businesses know about. We find the right one for your locations and your use case.

Not tied to any single vendor or carrier. When Maycrest recommends something, the only reason is that it fits.

Stan Michaud has spent his career inside the technology decisions that businesses struggle with most: what to buy, who to trust, what it's actually going to take to implement, and whether what you have today is still serving you. That work has spanned companies of every size, from small businesses to Fortune 100 organizations, across network infrastructure, communications, managed services, and connectivity.

Before founding Maycrest, Stan was on the technical side of these engagements, responsible for designing solutions that actually had to work once the contract was signed. That background shapes how every Maycrest engagement runs. We don't come in with a catalog. We come in with questions.

If you've ever been sold something by someone who didn't fully understand your environment, or ended up with a solution that looked good on paper but didn't hold up in practice, that's the problem Maycrest exists to solve.

  • Doing the assessment work before making a recommendation
  • Being straightforward when something isn't a good fit
  • Staying involved past the contract signature
  • Working across the full market so recommendations aren't tied to economics

Every Maycrest engagement runs the same way. It's designed to front-load the understanding of your environment so the recommendations that follow are actually grounded in something.

01

Technology Assessment

We take a structured look at what you're running today: what it costs, where the friction is, and where there are gaps between what you have and what your business needs. You'll come away with a clearer picture of your environment whether or not we end up working together.

02

Recommendations

Based on what we find, we build a prioritized set of recommendations with a plain-English explanation of each one: what it addresses, what it costs, and what to realistically expect from implementation.

03

Vendor Selection

We take your approved direction to market, run a real evaluation across relevant vendors, and give you an honest read on who to move forward with. We handle the back-and-forth so your team doesn't have to.

04

Ongoing

Our involvement doesn't end at contract signature. We stay in the picture through deployment, act as your advocate if issues come up, and remain a resource as your business and technology needs evolve.

The fastest way to get started is a free technology assessment, a straightforward look at your current environment with no obligation attached.

How is Maycrest different from going directly to a vendor or carrier?+
When you go directly to a vendor, you get that vendor's solution. Maycrest has no financial reason to favor one provider over another. We work across the full market, which means we can run a real comparison and tell you who actually fits your situation. The cost to you is the same either way, because we're compensated by the providers we place business with. You just get a lot more objectivity in the process.
What does a technology assessment actually involve?+
It starts with a conversation about what you're running today: your network, communications, contracts, costs, and where the friction is. From there we assess what's working, what's underperforming, and where there are gaps between your current setup and what your business actually needs. Most assessments take one to two conversations. You come away with a clear picture of your environment and a prioritized view of what's worth addressing.
Is there a cost for the assessment?+
No. The technology assessment is free. Maycrest earns residual commissions from vendors and providers when clients move forward with a recommendation, which means the business is aligned with getting the right outcome for you long term, not closing a one-time transaction.
What size businesses do you work with?+
All sizes. The process scales to the complexity of the environment. A small business with one location has different needs than an enterprise with 50 sites, and we approach both accordingly.
We already have a vendor relationship. Can Maycrest still help?+
Yes. A lot of clients come in mid-contract or heading into a renewal. We can assess whether your current provider is still the right fit, identify whether you're getting what you're paying for, and help you negotiate or transition if something better is available. You don't need to be starting from scratch to benefit from an independent perspective.
Do you handle implementation, or just the sourcing?+
Both. We manage the vendor selection and sourcing process, and we stay involved through implementation as your advocate. If something goes sideways during deployment, you have someone in your corner who knows the technical details, has the vendor relationship, and can escalate effectively. We don't disappear after the contract is signed.
How long does a typical engagement take?+
It depends on the scope. An assessment and recommendation for a single solution might wrap up in a few weeks. A larger engagement covering network, communications, and managed services across multiple sites will take longer. We set realistic timelines based on what we find in the assessment, and we don't rush decisions that have long-term implications.
What happens after we implement a solution?+
We stay in the picture. Maycrest's model is built on long-term client relationships, not one-time placements. We monitor how your solutions are performing, check in around contract renewals, and remain a resource when your needs change.
